The first year of Wichita State Shockers football was in 1895. They fielded a football team every year from 1895-1942 and 1944-1986.
History[]
On May 16, 2009 the Wichita State University alumni association held an all football players reunion at Cessna Stadium.[1]
Conference championships[]
Wichita State has won fourteen conference titles. The Shockers have won five Missouri Valley Conference football championships.
