The Western Illinois Leathernecks football program is the intercollegiate American football team for the Western Illinois University located in the U.S. state of Illinois. The team competes in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) and are members of the Missouri Valley Football Conference. The school's first football team was fielded in 1903. The team plays its home games at the 17,168 seat Hanson Field. They are coached by Mark Hendrickson.
