Victor Allen Butler[1] (born July 29, 1987) is an American football outside linebacker for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He played college football at Oregon State.

Early years

Butler attended Eisenhower High School in Rialto, California, where he was teammates with Ryan Clady. He graduated in 2005.

Professional career

Dallas Cowboys

Butler recorded his first two career sacks and caused a fumble recovered by Dallas against the Carolina Panthers on Sept 28 2009. On November 8, 2009, he sacked Donovan McNabb (then a Philadelphia Eagle) with a shoe string tackle to stop a critical Philadelphia drive.

New Orleans Saints

On March 28, 2013, Butler signed a two-year contract with the New Orleans Saints.[2]
