Tony Smith (born June 29, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois) is a former professional American football player who played running back for three seasons for the Atlanta Falcons.
Smith was chosen in the first-round (19th overall) in the 1992 NFL Draft. Atlanta acquired the pick from the Green Bay Packers in a trade for quarterback Brett Favre, who was Smith's college teammate at Southern Mississippi.[1]
