Tommy O'Boyle (August 21, 1917 – July 19, 2000) was a college footballcoach at Southwest Missouri State and Tulane. From 1947 to 1948, he served as Southwest Missouri State's head football coach, and was very successful going 7-2-1 and 9-2 in his 2 seasons, giving him an overall record there of 16-4-1. In 1962, an opportunity opened for him to take the head coaching job at Tulane. Being a former All-Americanlineman at Tulane, he considered the position a dream job. However, this job gained him the notoriety, as he went 6-33-1, and erased his previously good record at Southwest Missouri State.
In his career, he served as an assistant coach for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1966-1974.
