Steven Cyril DeLong (July 3, 1943, Norfolk, Virginia – August 18, 2010, Knoxville, Tennessee) was an American football defensive lineman who played professionally in the American Football League (AFL) and the National Football League (NFL). He played collegiately for the University of Tennessee, and professionally for the San Diego Chargers and Chicago Bears. He was the father of professional football player Keith DeLong, who also played for the University of Tennessee.
On Sunday, August 22, 2010 Knoxville's Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church congregants joined family and friends for a Celebration of Life. Services were led by their pastor evangelist. Steve DeLong's life accomplishments were an encouragement to many. *
