Sean Gustus (born January 28, 1979 in Oxon Hill, Maryland) is a current American football college scout for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. After graduating from DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland, where he was a teammate of Eagles running back Brian Westbrook, Gustus attended the University of Richmond and was a two-year starter at quarterback in 2000 and 2001. He began his coaching and scouting career in 2002 with the New England Patriots as a college scouting assistant with special teams quality control duties. He then spent a year as a Patriots offensive coaching assistant in 2003. After the season, the Patriots granted permission for the Eagles and their Vice President of Player Personnel Tom Heckert, who called Gustus a "young up-and-comer,"[1] to interview Gustus for a scouting job in their organization. He was hired by the team originally as a northeast scout and has since moved to scouting the southeast.
