Samuel Adam Adkins (born May 21, 1955 in Van Nuys, California) is a former professional American football player. He attended Cleveland High School in Reseda, CA and Wichita State University. He played for the NFL Seattle Seahawks from 1977–1983, and is the only member of the Seahawks to wear the number 12. As a result, the franchise retired the number the following year for his role of being the "12th Man" on the team (though the banner does not use his name). He and his wife Dayle have 4 children.

Since his retirement, he has worked in broadcasting in the Seattle area, as the color commentator for the University of Washington football radio broadcasts and more extensively as a host and correspondent on the Seahawks post-game show.
