Ronald Glen Caveness (born March 6, 1943) is a former American football linebacker for the American Football League's Houston Oilers and Kansas City Chiefs from 1965 to 1968.

Caveness played college football for the University of Arkansas where he was a Football News 1st team All-American in 1963. In his senior season in 1964, he was selected 1st team All-America by the American Football Coaches Association, the Associated Press, the Football Writers Association of America, the Newspaper Enterprise Association and The Sporting News.[1]

Caveness also spent the 1973 season as a linebacker coach for the Houston Oilers. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2010.
