Ricky Barkley Jean-Francois (pronounced /ˌʒɔːn.frænˈswɑː/ JEEN-fran-SWAH;[1] born November 23, 1986) is an American football nose tackle for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He played college football at Louisiana State University.

College career[]

As a member of the National Championship winning 2007 LSU Tigers football team, he was the Defensive MVP of the 2008 BCS National Championship Game. Jean-Francois was also a member of the LSU track & field team.

Jean-Francois was a teammate of former Miami Hurricane and current New York Giant Safety Kenny Phillips at Miami Carol City High School.

Professional career[]

San Francisco 49ers[]

Jean-Francois was selected on April 26, 2009 as a 7th round draft pick for the 49ers. In recent times Jean-Francois has become famous among 49er fans for his "Peanut Butter Jelly Dance".[2]

Indianapolis Colts[]

Jean-Francois signed with the Indianapolis Colts on March 14, 2013.[3]
