Pro Career

His father Big Rich and Granddad F. C. 'Hap' Salzer were pro football players as well in the Canadian Football League. He has since covered the AFL and other

Pro Football Leagues on SIRIUS Radio and several Hawai'i sports radio shows. He was also in a band called the Bad Dolphins with Nick Franzen and Vic Garcia.

They played their own material and covers of The Bun E Carlos Experience and Cheap Trick from 1981-87 when Jon B Brant was the bassist, and other bands

like Jason & the Scorchers and Webb Wilder. The band cut several vinyl records here and there and were marked by Salzer's bass guitar collection which included

two of Brant's former Cheap Trick basses. Salzer also played guitar, ukelele and harmonica occasionally. His humour was much like Rick Nielsen, and Franzen and

Garcia both played drumms and guitars as this was a power trio. Salzer was married to a former runner-up Miss Honolulu and they had one daughter, Juliana. A

lover of cats, photography, music and travel, he later became a Christian-Preterist minister and third party politico. His late Aunt Barbara Brindle of Sparta, N.J. was

the most knowledgable person on the Hawai'i Five-0 Series and they ran the Hawai'i Five-0 fan club for mnay years before her death. He lives somewhere in the

western states today and there is a teenage sound alike tribute band out today with the same name.
