James Randell Hughes (born April 3, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) is a former American football safety who played six seasons in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at the University of Oklahoma and was drafted in the fourth round of the 1975 NFL Draft.
Hughes' son, Hampton Hughes, is currently a defensive back for Boston College.[1]
