Kendricks was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round (46th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year contract with the team on May 8, 2012.[4] From day one of OTAs, Kendricks started at the SAM Linebacker position.[5] He finished his rookie season with 75 tackles and a sack. Kendricks swiched to inside linebacker in 2013 under a new Chip Kelly 3-4 scheme. That year Kendricks recorded 106 tackles, 4 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries and 3 interceptions. One came in the final game of the season, against the Dallas Cowboys, in a game to determine which team would win the NFC East and make the playoffs.
