Mitchell Bryan Schwartz (born June 8, 1989) is an American football offensive tackle for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League. He played college football at California.

High school career[]

Schwartz attended Palisades Charter High School, where he was regarded as a three-star offensive tackle prospect by Rivals.com.[1]

College career[]

Schwartz attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2007 to 2011. He started all 51 games during his career at either left or right tackle. He was a member of the Jewish Sports Review’s 2010 College Football All-America team.[2][3][4]

NFL career[]

Schwartz was drafted in the 2nd round (37th overall) by the Cleveland Browns in the 2012 draft. He started all 16 games of his rookie year at right tackle.

Personal life[]

Schwartz is Jewish, and was raised in Conservative Judaism.[5] His brother, Geoff Schwartz, currently plays in the National Football League for the Minnesota Vikings.[6] Schwartz is the son of Olivia (Goodkin) and Lee Schwartz.[7]
