The Mid-State Steel team began play in 2002. Their first game was July 27th 2002 vs the Lafayette Lions 13-6 L and the first season was played in Canton, IL at the JFL field on Linn St. The team moved to Peoria Stadium on War Memorial in 2003.

Team History[]

The Mid-State Steel started play in 2002 and are now members of the Mid States Football League. The Steel are based out of Peoria, IL and play their home games at Peoria Stadium 315 E War Memorial Dr. The Steel have a rich tradition of winning football with a style that represents the hard working people of the midwest and Central Illinois in particular, including winning the 2005 USFA National Championship.
