I am Tex Noel and have recently began posting here on WIkia.com! My site, Texs College FB stats, is on historical stats--ones that I have created (while continually using actual numbers...just from A Different Perspective.
Would it be possible to be included on the American Football Database? If so, how do I go about it? I am not up on coding and not even sure if my work is even in this system!
If you have time, could your visit my site and provide me with pointers on how to get it out to anyone interested.
--It is already listed on a mega website for college football.
I also publish a free monthly newsletter, The College Football Historian--640 world-wide subscribers since 2008.
I am here if you ever need assistance on anything relating to college football...from providing answers to questions and more.
I'm a staff here at Wikia. A couple times a year, we have what we call Wikia Day, where groups of staff from different departments get together and pick a wikia to edit.
Me and a couple other staff are huge football fans, so we're going to spend the day editing here, if that's cool with you. Feel free to revert anything you don't like! But we'll work hard to make sure this is an upgrade. :)
We didn't have a lot of time, but we wanted to start cataloguing local "team bars". Y'know how sometimes you go to a new city and you want to watch the game with fellow [your team] fans? We wanted to start building a resource for that. We started in San Francisco - hopefully some visitors take the reins and keep adding!
My name is Tim, and I’m one of the members of Wikia’s Community Support staff. I wanted to stop by your wiki today and say hello. Looking at some of our data from the last few weeks, I was excited to see that your wiki has been getting a lot of readers lately. Did you know that in the first 15 days of March, your wiki’s pageviews increased by 1000%? That’s great!
While having a ton of new readers and contributors is an encouraging thing for a wiki, we understand there can be some unique challenges associated with such massive growth. From vandalism to the need for community discussion and votes to trying different features and tools, a lot changes when a wiki grows. Wikia is here to support you because we want to see your wiki continue to grow. So if you have any concerns that have popped up in the last few days, and you would like some social or technical advice, please feel free to reply to this post and let me know how I can help you.
I did not notice it was doing that. When I made the stub templates for players that do not have articles written about them either here or on wikipedia I inserted the wikipedia template in case users add content from wikipedia. It seems easier to add it to the stubs than go back later and add it.
