Matthew Steven Lehr (born April 25, 1979 in Jacksonville, Florida) is an American football guard who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the fifth round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played college football at Virginia Tech.
He has also played for the St. Louis Rams, Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans.
Early years[]
He graduated from Woodbridge Senior High School in Woodbridge, Virginia.
Professional career[]
On October 17, 2006 he was suspended for four games due to violating the NFL Substance Abuse Policy.[1]
New Orleans Saints[]
On September 16, 2008 he signed with the New Orleans Saints. Then on September 22, Lehr was released again by the team.
Tennessee Titans[]
Lehr was signed by the Tennessee Titans on August 25, 2009. He was released on September 1.
Bodybuilding[]
Lehr has also picked up the sport of bodybuilding and trains regularly with IFBB Pro Branch Warren. He is training for his first bodybuilding competition which is the "Branch Warren Classic."
