Markus Kuhn (born 5 May 1986)[1] is a German-born[2] American football defensive tackle for the New York Giants. He was selected in the seventh round, 239th overall, by the Giants in the 2012 NFL Draft, only the second native of Germany to be drafted by an NFL team.[3] The other German native drafted by an NFL team is New England Patriots offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer. Kuhn played college football at NC State. He won in his college career the Camps Sports Bowl in 2010 and the Belk Bowl in 2011.[4]

Professional career

New York Giants

On August 31, 2012, it was announced that Kuhn had made the final roster. He made his debut in the season's inaugural game with a tackle assist, a feat he matched in the subsequent games.[5] He played his first game from start in Week 6 against Cleveland Browns. [6] During the game against the Cincinnati Bengals in week 10 Kuhn suffered a torn ACL and missed the rest of the 2012 season.[7]
