McLoughlin holds eight Western Division Scoring Crowns, and is a six-time Western Division All-Star and four-time CFL All-Star. He is also a two-time recipient of the CFLPA’s Tom Pate Memorial Award in 1995 and 1997 for his commitment on the football field and in the community.
He also has a history of community involvement, having helped establish Stay-In-School initiatives in Calgary as well as a community partnership model to ensure equitable educational opportunities for students. Previously, he served as the Partnership Director for the Calgary Education Partnership Foundation, and has numerous other charitable involvements.
Presently, McLoughlin is the Vice-President, Pathways and Corporate Development in the Pathways partnership between British Columbia-based credit union Envision Financial and Alberta-based credit union First Calgary Savings.
