The Wyoming Cowboys college football team competes as part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), representing the University of Wyoming in the Mountain West Conference (MW). Since the establishment of the team in 1892, Wyoming has appeared in 13 bowl games .[2] The latest bowl occurred on December 17, 2011, when Wyoming lost to Temple 37–15 in the 2011 New Mexico Bowl .[3] The loss in that game brought the Cowboys' overall bowl record to six wins and seven losses (6–7).[2] [3]
