Lester Gatewood is a former center in the National Football League.

Biography[]

Gatewood was born on May 30, 1921 in Dallas, Texas.[1] He went by the nickname "Les".

Career[]

Gatewood was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the eighth round of the 1943 NFL Draft and later played two seasons with the team. He played at the collegiate level at Baylor University and Tulane University.[2]
