Klaus Alinen (born February 22, 1981 in Pori, Finland) is a Finnish American football player who also played tight end for the Atlanta Falcons. After one year on the practice squad he received a contract and played throughout most of the 2006 pre-season. He was the first Finn to ever to sign a contract with an NFL (National Football League) football team. He did not make the team having been released after two pre-season games.
Klaus Alinen stands 6'6" tall(198 cm) and weighs 260 lbs(118 kg). Because of his athletic ability, versatility and size, he is nicknamed "Hulk"
Alinen joined the Falcons as part of an international training squad. He played both tight end and defensive end. Alinen has played three seasons in NFL Europe. He was tight end and long snapper for the Berlin Thunder.
After being released by the Falcons, Alinen returned to Finland where he currently plays for the Rauma-based team, Sea City Storm.
