  • The APFA reorganized on June 24, 1922 into the National Football League. Only three teams currently in the NFL, the Decatur Staleys (now the Chicago Bears), the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Cardinals (now the Arizona Cardinals), are the only surviving members of the 1922 season.
