Jonathan Holland (born February 18, 1985 in Monroe, Louisiana) is an American football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He was recently signed by the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League, but was released prior to the regular season. He was drafted by the Raiders in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at Louisiana Tech.
Early years[]
Holland attended Mangham High School in Mangham, Louisiana, where he lettered in football and track. In track, he placed first at the Louisiana Class 1A State Track Meet on the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.41 seconds.
Professional career[]
Oakland Raiders[]
Holland was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the seventh round (254th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. He was placed on injured reserve on July 24, 2007, ending his rookie season.
Holland was promoted to the active roster on December 4, 2008 after the team waived offensive lineman Dylan Gandy.
The Oakland Raiders parted ways with Jonathan Holland on Sunday.

His spot was taken by quarterback Colt Brennan who signed with the team on Saturday after two seasons with the Washington Redskins.
Holland, meanwhile, was waived/injured after suffering an ankle injury earlier in camp. He has been on crutches as of late and is awaiting MRI results on his ankle.
The Raiders will continue to pay him until he is healthy enough to catch on with another team according to Vittori Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle.
