Adams was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. Encouraged by his mother Charlotte Allman, he finished his secondary education at Central Arkansas Christian High School in North Little Rock, Arkansas.[2]

Adams attended the University of Arkansas, where he played for the Arkansas Razorbacks football team from 2008 to 2011.
