Jason Michael Werner (born September 17, 1986) is a former American football linebacker who used to play for the Purdue University football team beginning in 2005 and declared eligible for play through the 2010 season. He was a team co-captain for the 2009 season. He was named Indianapolis Star Indiana Mr. Football 2004 while attending the Roncalli High School where he was a player on the Indiana 4A state championship teams in 2002, 2003, and 2004. His senior year he was also named as an Indianapolis Star Marion County Male Co-Athlete of the Year.

Purdue (2005-2010)[]

The NCAA has given Werner a sixth season of eligibility for the 2010 season after he sat out the 2006 and 2008 seasons due to a recurring back injury.[1]
