Jake Ceresna (born July 9, 1994) is an American football defensive end for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Cortland State.

College career Edit

Ceresna played one season for Southern Connecticut State before transferring to Cortland State.[1]

Professional career Edit

New York Jets Edit

After going undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft, Ceresna signed with the New York Jets on August 14, 2016.[2] He was released on August 30, 2016.[3]

Ottawa Redblacks Edit

After recording two sacks and eighteen tackles in his rookie season, Ceresna was traded to the Edmonton Eskimos for defensive end Odell Willis.[4]

Edmonton Eskimos Edit

Ceresna was released by the Eskimos on January 2, 2019 in order for him to sign with the New York Giants.[5]

New York Giants Edit

On January 2, 2019, Ceresna signed a reserve/future contract with the Giants.[6] Ceresna is Cortland State's first NFL player since R-Kal Truluck.[7]

Coaching career Edit

Ceresna was briefly the assistant offensive line coach for Cortland State after being released by the New York Jets.[8]
