George "Chick" Evans (sometimes called "Red" Evans) was an American football, basketball, and baseball coach. He served as the head football coach at Northern Illinois University from 1929 to 1954, compiling a record of 131–70–20. Evans was also the head basketball coach at Northern Illinois from 1929 to 1940 and the head baseball coach at the school (1930–1934, 1937–1944, 1946–1947). Evans 131 wins are the most in Northern Illinois Huskies football program history.
