Filip Filipović (Serbian Cyrillic: Филип Филиповић) (born November 5, 1977 in Belgrade, SFR Yugoslavia, present-day Serbia) is an American football punter who is a free agent. He was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2002. He played college football at South Dakota.
Filipović has also been a member of the San Francisco 49ers, Minnesota Vikings, Houston Texans, and Chicago Bears.
Pro career[]
He has been a journeyman throughout his NFL career, playing for 5 teams over 6 seasons. He made his only regular season starts during the 2002 season for the Dallas Cowboys. He played in nine games and made 65 punts for 2,640 yards and 2,082 net yards. Since then he has been competing for the punting job for several teams, but has lucked out every time. His most recent signing was on 9 April 2007 by the Chicago Bears. He was released on July 31. Filipović hosts a series of kicking and punting camps in Illinois and Michigan.
