Dennis Wayne Byrd (August 31, 1946 – July 22, 2010)[1] was a defensive lineman who played one season in the American Football League for the Boston Patriots. He attended North Carolina State University, where he was an All-American. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011.
