Colston Weatherington (born October 29, 1977 in Graceville, Florida) is an arena football player. He played collegiately at the University of Central Missouri, and is currently an offensive linemandefensive lineman for the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League. He was originally drafted in the seventh round (207th overall) of the 2001 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys, and appeared in three games for the team in the 2002 season.[1] Weatherington was named to the AFL All-Rookie team in his first season in the former AFL (2004), as a member of the Dallas Desperados, and to the All-Arena first team each year from 2006 to 2008.[2] In 2006 and 2008, he won the league's Lineman of the Year award.[3] For the first season of the current AFL, he was assigned to play for the Predators.[4]

Early life and college career[]

Weatherington attended Rehobeth High Elementary/High School(Dothan, AL) until his junior year, then Graceville High School his junior and senior year, where he helped the team win a state championship and gain a second-place finish. He later began attending college at Northwest Mississippi Community College, where he recorded 68 tackles and 13 sacks his freshman year and earned All-State and All-Region community college honors.[5] After transferring to Central Missouri, he earned All-America and MIAA Defensive MVP honors.[2]
