Chris Jones (born July 21, 1989) is an American football punter playing for the Dallas Cowboys. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cowboys. Jones played his college football at Carson-Newman College [1] Jones was signed to the Cowboys' practice squad on October 28, 2011. He was then released and re-signed to the practice squad both on November 2, 2011. The Cowboys called up Jones from the practice squad on November 5, 2011, after an injury to Mat McBriar.[2]
