Cedric Brown (born May 6, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio), is a former American professional football player who played in 9 NFL seasons from 1976-1984 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brown was a very solid and underrated free safety for the Buccaneers, seldom making errors but also showing himself to be capable of big plays. Brown proved himself to be one of the lone bright spots on the inaugural Buccaneer teams that failed to win a game for nearly 2 seasons, suffering 26 straight losses before winning the 13th game of their second season.
