Anthony Wayne Smith (born June 28, 1967) is a former American football defensive end in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Raiders 11th overall in the 1990 NFL Draft. He played college football at Arizona and Alabama.
On March 4, 2011, Smith was charged with murder along with two others in the 2008 death of a Southern California man.[1] On July 4, 2012, Smith was charged with three additional murders that were committed between 1999 and 2001.[2]
He was previously married to former pop star Vanity.[3]
Smith was charged with four Los Angeles-area slayings Thursday July 5, 2012. He was charged in 2011 with committing the 2008 murder of Maurilio Ponce, which ended with a hung jury.
