Austin Lee McRae was an American football coach. He served as the head football coach at the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy—now Missouri University of Science and Technology—from 1893 to 1899 and at the University of Missouri in 1890, compiling a career college football record of 4–8.

McRae the first head football coach for the University of Missouri Tigers located in Columbia, Missouri and he held that position for the 1890 season. His coaching record at Missouri was 2 wins, 1 losses, and 0 ties. This ranks him 29th at Missouri in total wins and eighth at Missouri in winning percentage.[1]
