The Bears were led by first year head coach Sonny Dykes and played their home games at Memorial Stadium. As members of the North Division of the Pac-12 Conference, the Bears finished with the worst record in the Pac-12 Conference having won no conference games and only won 1 game throughout the entire season, none against FBS opponents. This marked as Cal Football's worst season in its 128-year history. During the season, the team was featured on The Drive, a weekly documentary series on the Pac-12 Network.[1]
