The '''2004 Maryland Terrapins football team''' represented the [[University of Maryland, College Park|University of Maryland]] in the [[National Collegiate Athletic Association]] (NCAA) [[Division I (NCAA)|Division I]] [[Division I (NCAA)#Football Bowl Subdivision|Football Bowl Subdivision]] (FBS) college football [[2004 NCAA Division I FBS football season|season]]. It was the Terrapins' 52nd season as a member of the [[Atlantic Coast Conference]] (ACC). [[Ralph Friedgen]] led the team for his fourth season as head coach. It proved to be his first as a head coach without a postseason [[bowl game]] appearance.
