The 1992 Citrus Bowl was a college football bowl game played on January 1, 1992, the 46th Citrus Bowl. The game took place before 64,192 people, approximately 39,310 less than the Rose Bowl game that took place on the same day. The #14 California Golden Bears defeated the #13 Clemson Tigers 37-13, with Mike Pawlawski announced MVP of the game.

Game summary[]

California lead 17-3 by the end of the first quarter, with Russell White running for 103 yards on 22 rushes, along with Brian Treggs' 72-yard return touchdown. During the first quarter, Brentson Buckner was ejected due to a punch he threw folling a muffed snap by California. Also by the end of the first quarter, the Golden Bears had made DeChane Cameron throw three interceptions. By Halftime, it was 27-10. The Halftime show was a recreation of the tale of Christopher Columbus. By the fourth quarter, it was 37-13. Both teams went scoreless in the fourth, solidifying California as the winners of the 1992 Florida Citrus Bowl.
