The 1970 Northern Illinois Huskies football team represented Northern Illinois University in the 1970 college football season. The Huskies competed as an independent in the University Division, which became Division I in 1973. They were led by head coach Doc Urich for the second year, and final one of his tenure, and played their home games at Huskie Stadium.
