The 1961 Oakland Raiders season began with the team trying to improve on their 6–8 record from 1960. The 1961 season was the second season in Oakland and in the American Football League, as they played their home games at San Francisco's Candlestick Park. It ended with the Raiders finishing last in the AFL West with a 2–12 record.
