The 1956 Chicago Bears season was their 37th regular season and 11th postseason completed in the National Football League . The club posted 9-2-1 record under first year head coach Paddy Driscoll placing them in first place of the Western Conference and in their first title game since 1946. However the title game against the New York Giants was a huge loss for the club as the Giants defeated them 47-7.
