In its 11th season under head coach George Munger, the team compiled a 5–3 record and outscored opponents by a total of 169 to 117.[1] The team won its first five games and was ranked No. 7 in the AP Poll before losing its last three games of the season and dropping out of the AP Poll. The team played its home games at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
