The 1942 Pittsburgh Steelers season marked the club's tenth anniversary as a member of the National Football League. The team improved on their previous season result of 1–9–1 with a record of 7–4–0, which was good enough for 2nd place in the NFL East.[1] This was the franchise's first ever winning record.
For the second straight year, the team held training camp in Hershey, Pennsylvania.[2]
