The 1890 Ohio State Buckeyes football team was the first football team fielded by Ohio State University. They won their first game against Ohio Wesleyan on May 3, but lost the final three games, including a 64-0 home defeat to Wooster.


The team was coached by Alexander S. Lilley and played their home games at Recreation Park. The captains of the 1890 team were Paul Lincoln and Jesse Jones.
